The bar length on pole saws ranges from 4 inches to 12 inches, depending on the model. The length of the pole can be 10-feet or more. Pole saws, or pruner chainsaws, feature the bar and chain of a typical chainsaw mounted on the end of a fixed or telescoping pole. They are also very quiet to operate which makes them the best chainsaws for home use. Cordless chainsaws are lighter and easier to handle than gas chainsaws and most corded electric chainsaws. Electric chainsaws also produce a lot less noise than gas chainsaws, a feature for which your neighbors will be grateful.Ĭordless chainsaws are powered by a rechargeable battery and can reach various levels of power without being attached to a cord. An outdoor outlet will increase the tool’s boundary for usefulness. Corded electric chainsaws are very useful for lighter amounts of yard work close to home. This means you will have to do your cutting close to your power source. There’s no fuel to replenish but electric chainsaws do require an extension cord. If you have to do a lot of cutting in a wooded area, a gas chainsaw is a great way to go.Įlectric chainsaws are lightweight. This is the best chainsaw for cutting down trees if that is a job you have to do regularly. Gas chainsaws are the most powerful and ideally suited for large tasks, but they require gas and oil and are the loudest and heaviest chainsaws. From pole saws and electric chainsaws to cordless chainsaws, The Home Depot carries a wide selection of quality chainsaws to help you power through any project. Chainsaws come in a variety of styles, sizes and power, including pole saws, mini chainsaws, battery chainsaws and gas chainsaws.Ĭhainsaws can power their way through downed trees, pruning jobs and firewood tasks.

Rhodes and State Center combined in 1961, just before the final 1962 formation of West Marshall. Minerva Consolidated School combined with State Center in 1945, and LaMoille did the same in 1955. Another wave of consolidation came in the post-World War II period. That was the way of things in western Marshall County for a few decades. The same happened in State Center in 1909 and in LaMoille and Melbourne around 1914-15, according to “Continuing History.” Rhodes Consolidated Schools started in 1883, combining students at several area schoolhouses. After that, a first wave of school consolidation began in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The first small schoolhouses appeared in the district in the 1860s in Rhodes and State Center. The modern district came to be in 1962 after an election was held to consolidate several independent area districts into West Marshall, according to “Continuing History.” Today, the black-and-gold of West Marshall Community School District covers State Center, where all of its education buildings are located, as well as Melbourne, Rhodes, St. Krob said looking at historical population data can sometimes be difficult because methods of collecting information were different than they are now. The arrival of the Baby Boomer generation also contributed to the growth of the state’s population. He said international immigration from places like Germany and Ireland was a key to that population growth in the early- and mid-20th century like it is today. “Iowa’s population in general has always just had a slow and steady population increase,” he said, noting that was prior to the farm crisis in the 1980s. Gary Krob of the State Library of Iowa’s State Data Center said the state’s population experienced steady growth throughout those time periods. In the 1940s and beyond, she said consolidation saw schools in smaller towns lose out in favor of those in larger towns, like State Center, Le Grand and, in her case, Marshalltown. She said the first wave of consolidations in the late 1800s and early 1900s came as a result of country schools banding together. Lang said Van Cleve, just like some communities in the West Marshall, East Marshall and GMG school districts, could not keep up with the educational and facilities needs required by the state for student success. That small town was eventually added to the Marshalltown School District and its local building closed. Lang said she grew up in Van Cleve, east of Melbourne. “There are pros and cons like there is in everything.” “The small town people, like we were … thought consolidation was probably not good for us because we would lose our school,” said 34-year Marshalltown Schools teacher and current Green Mountain-Garwin substitute teacher Julie Lang. 10# Pro Mag Smith & Wesson Shield 9MM Pistol Magazine.9# Pro Mag Smith / Wesson M/P Compact-9 9MM Pistol Magazine.8# Pro Mag Heckler / Koch P7 M8 9MM Pistol Magazine.7# Smith & Wesson M&P Shield M2.0 9mm Luger.4# Smith & Wesson S&W M&P 9mm Luger Magazine.3# Pro Mag Smith & Wesson M&P 10-Round 9mm Magazine. 2# Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Compact 9mm Magazine.1# Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm 10-Round Magazine.Top 20 □ S&W M&P Shield EZ 9mm Extended Magazine. What are the types of M&P 9mm Magazines? □.Let's share □ our ammo & gun experiences together! If I did not, who would? Besides, I miss you when you are not here." Faia's face grew serious for a minute. I will be fine, the sheep will be fine, the dogs will be fine, and I will see you in late summer with a nice bunch of healthy lambs and fat ewes." Her mother smiled wistfully. " Mama! How many years have I been taking the flock upland? I have everything I need. "Knife? Herb bag? Matches? Needles?." Faia nodded at each item on her mother's list until finally she burst out laughing. I have more than enough jerky here to get you to the first of the stay-stations, and I have finished the work on a special amulet-added protection against wolves. My youngest daughter cannot wait to abandon me for the flocks and the fields." "Oh, Mama-!" Risse laughed, then held out a wrapped packet and a necklace. At the scream, the other wolves vanished into the forest, disappearing like the memories of shadows.Ĭhapter 1: A POX ON BRIGHT IN front of a fieldstone cottage, on a crisp spring morning, Risse Leyeadote and her leggy, dark-eyed daughter, Faia, hugged each other goodbye. Then he crumpled to the ground and was still-unmarked, stone dead. The wolf screamed, its voice for a moment disconcertingly human. Staff around the wolf, blazing green fire. Faia, stilled inside, deadly calm, swung the staff up as the wolf lunged and caught him across the chest the impact of his great weight flung her backward a staggered step. At the same instant, she was inside herself, and the strength was there-earth-strength, Lady-strength, confidence. Lady, help me! Faia drew the earth's energy, thinking it into her staff, thinking, Give the staff strength! And somehow, she was outside of herself, and staring down at the massive black wolf and the tall, rangy girl who faced him off with nothing but a brass-tipped walking stick. He danced back, and crouched for a leap, his eyes fixed on her throat. She made a quick thrust at the beast with her walking stick that caught him in the teeth. There was no time to reach for the slingshot and the studded wolfshot. She clutched her staff, and her belly tightened with fear. He rumbled a warning growl as he advanced. The pack leader, silver-tipped-black and immense, faced Faia and strode stiff-legged forward head down, ears flat back, pale, cold eyes gleaming. They had come, had taken what they wanted without challenge, and they had grown confident. MAGE IN SHEPHERD'S CLOTHES The attack was not wolf madness, but wolf boldness. The skin's natural microflora includes species of Corynebacterium, staphylococci, streptococci, Brevibacterium, and Candida as well as Propionibacterium. In addition to these defences, the skin also consists of natural microflora which offers additional protection by competitively inhibiting pathogenic bacterial growth by competing for nutrients and attachment sites and by producing metabolic products that inhibit microbial growth. This produces a hostile environment for microorganisms. The uppermost epidermal layer is covered by a protective keratinous surface which allows for the removal of microorganisms via sloughing off of keratinocytes and acidic sebaceous secretions. It is responsible for numerous functions such as heat regulation and protecting the underlying organs and tissue. The skin is the body's largest mechanical barrier against the external environment and invasion by microorganisms. Encouragement is made for further research into essential oil combinations with other essential oils, antimicrobials, and carrier oils. Very few viral studies of relevance to the skin have been made. Combination studies incorporating oil blends, as well as interactions with conventional antimicrobials, have shown that mostly synergy is reported. While dermatological skin pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus have been well studied, other pathogens such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Propionibacterium acnes, Haemophilus influenzae, and Brevibacterium species have been sorely neglected. The minimum inhibitory concentration dilution method is the preferred means of determining antimicrobial activity. Also included is a review of combinations with other essential oils and antimicrobials. This review explores the fundamental knowledge available on the antimicrobial properties against pathogens responsible for dermatological infections and compares the scientific evidence to what is recommended for use in common layman's literature. At least 90 essential oils can be identified as being recommended for dermatological use, with at least 1500 combinations. Combined with their popular use in dermatology, their availability, and the development of antimicrobial resistance, commercial essential oils are often an option for therapy. Essential oils are one of the most notorious natural products used for medical purposes. Similar integration is also available with Dropbox.
